Just got off the phone with Robi.

What can I say. Super nice guy. VERY knowledgable. He wasnt trying to sell me anything, just gave me the info I was looking for. And although he did mention his KW setup is the ultimate cost effective set-up, he wasnt trying to convince me to ditch my idea of going with his basic setup.

Ive been racing cars for ~10 years. I can tell you one thing. I dont care if you buy the top of the line name brand parts to build your motor, suspension etc. It all matters who is building it and the ingrediants. For example, if grandma actually gave you her special recipe for her famous apple pie (ingrediants to the t) do you think your apple pie will be as good? No. So, in suspension terms, it doest matter if you have a ohlins shock or a KW for that matter. It matters who set up the valving etc. The R&D. Robi has done the R&D and seems to me really cares about his customers cars (otherwise he wouldnt be coming out to IL).

So, sign me up. I guess im #10.

6.nood1es springs/alignment*depending on date*
7. Ookami (ground control front camber plates, rear bumpsteer kit, rear trailing arm bushings, install, cornerweight, laser align KWv3s 7k/8k) [deposit sent]
8. Ballistic speed (respring for 275 hoosiers r6s, front driver side shock rebuild, realign for 275 r6s and drop rear + cornerweighting)
9. inco9nito99 - corner weight/align, change springs front to rear, rear trailing arm bushing, rear bump steer kit.

So, what I am going to do with Robi... I am going to run my '06 MR with TBE/HKS filter/HKS EVC6/AMS Flash (around 310WHP/310TQ on 93, tuned for track days by martin himself, AMS ROCKS!!) at Autobahn Country Club probably next weekend. I will have all the laps available. I guarantee you these will be hard, smooth and fast laps. Then I will be meeting Robi in Chicago to do the "basic kit" with the front roll center upgrade from whiteline. I will go back to Autobahn and lay down some laps for comparision. Both session will be ran on new 245/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R. The only change will be the addition of the basic kit, front roll center upgrade and Robi's alighnment and corner weight procedure.

My hunch we will see a big difference. I will also have to drive 140 miles on the hwy from milwaukee to Autobahn etc. So I will also let you know MHO on ride quality.

So, sign me up. I guess im #10.

Damn,

Ive been thinking. I know Im going to be sorry if I just go with the basic kit. Im going to wait and go with a nice set of coilovers when I can afford to. I know Im going to track the thing a lot.

So please omit me from spot number 10. I apologize.

How much for the shop time for the install? How much for the fluid changes?

Also, I believe the recommended oil is 10w-30 for the engine.

Let us know!
We'll get some prices posted soon.

I can take the first slot on Saturday morning (assuming the shop opens ~ 8:00, unless Lazyfong-who is first on the list-wants that time; then I'll be next in line on Saturday)

I've got a ~3 hour drive from Indy, so up, and out the door ~ 5:00a should get me there on time.

cfdfireman1-any word on fluid change pricing yet?

Robi- I'll send you the payment for the front roll center correction via paypal

Looking forward to ending my status as leader of the "long suffering award "

Put me down for Friday afternoon, sometime around 3:00PM or 4:00PM, I'll be driving from Omaha, which is about 7 or 8 hours. This seems like it will work well as there is one Friday morning. I'll start a list below:

WhiteEvo05 - Friday Morning
Ookami - Friday Afternoon
goforwand - Saturday Morning
