Installing used tires

I bought a set of takeoffs (stock advans). I know that we when we rotate tires they are supposed to go front to back only. But if I am putting on used tires, how do I know which of his tires were on his right or left side? Does it matter at this point? If I mix and match, isn't that equivalent to rotating tires across left and right?

If the tires aren't directional, it's not worth worrying about.

Are the stock advans directional? I thought the stock tires can only be rotated front to back on the same side? Does this make them directional?

Yes, that would mean they are directional I believe. Switching sides would require turning the tires around.

When you look at the tires it will say this side out (meaning you can see that side when it is mounted on the rim and the rim is on the car)....Tires are rotated front to back and vice versa....Put the tires with the best tread on the fronts.....

You just would like to end-up with 2 having the rotation arrow going one way (looking from the outside of the wheel) and 2 with the arrow going the other way. Also, these cars usually kill the inside of the tire 1st, mount with the most rumber in. The rotation directional correctness will be most important in the wet...

Put them on so the most worn part is on the outside now. In most cases the inside wears first so you would be "Flipping" them. Stock A046 tires are directional only no inside outside.
