Front struts are banging hard

I went out this weekend and made sure everything was tight and i didnt see any type of leaks. It seems to be back to normal from what i can tell. Maybe that one day it was just too cold for them.

I have the same issue. If you press on the strut tower in the engine compartment (over the strut which is making noise while driving) it makes a small creeking sound. I used a mechanics stethoscope and its definitely the spring, no other component in the suspension. I am about to loosen the top strut bolts and clean the seat where the top of the strut rests against the strut tower and I'll also check the rubber dameners which the springs sit on. I will check the center nut for the strut as well.

I have no visible leakage from the shock assembly but it doesn't mean the strut is still good.
