Coilover Install

Hi,I just recently purchased an Evo IX, and I bought my self a set of megan coil overs. I used to have an RSX and i did all the installs of all of my suspicion stuff on that car. I was hoping someone could point me towards a how to install coil overs evo. I did some searching , however I couldnt find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Here you go,right in the "how to" forum. They are not Megan coilovers, but the process is the same for both.

Another thread that has good information on adjusting them along with install tips, pics and is Megan specific.

Nothing to get intimidated by. Very easy to uninstall and install coils on the Evo. Have your car on jackstands and use your hydraulic jack to manipulate the suspension knuckle, if need be, once you have the coils in place and ready to bolt up. Of course an alignment will be necessary ASAP...Make sure your brake lines aren't going to rub on anything and that they are secure.

coilovers are easy as installing an exhaust but a bit more time consuming.

Go to www.evomoto.com and look under "installs".
There is a install for some springs but you an use that for reference.
It's very detailed and you should be able to do it in about 3 hours with
some break time in between.

Does anybody know the proper torque specs for the suspension bolts needed to install the coilovers? There's a ton of writeup but no torque specs.

Im a small guy, 160 lbs and I have never worked on suspension in my life. Everything is straight forward. It took me a total of 3 hours to do everything and that included clean up time. Good luck.
