i heard that every pound saved from unsprung weight is like 5 pounds from regular vehicle weight. the driving dynamics improve immensly. I laugh everytime i see big *** wheels mainly for show on performance vehicles cause i know they decreased the performance of the car. The only reason to go for larger wheels is if you need to install larger brakes and or wider tires depending on your traction issues. Running a bigger wheels without the corresponding larger brake just does not look nice in my book.

So are the Buddy Club P1 Racing QF in 17x 8 really a $500+ per rim? If so that not cheap but at 13.5 lbs {if that's accurate} that's pretty light.

Yes a lighter rim will affect the performance of your car but a light tire will have a greater affect.

+1 This is the best bang for your $. I don't think you will find a wheel as light as these and spend 1/2 the price of any other wheel. They are only 14.5lbs and only $239 each!!! TireRack.com
