handling difference due to tire wall stiffness

Noob here, I just changed out my stk a046 to toyo trampio r1r. I find the steering feel much lighter and during cornering, the car seems to roll easier and quicker. Are these indications of a softer tire wall on the toyo as compared to the stk advans? How does the tire wall stiffness affect the car's handling?

Cheers!

Just today I took of the stockers. Too much roll from the Toyo Proxie T1-S's and I will be looking to upgrade ASAP. Going from 160 treadwear to a 280 is not fun but, they were only 100.00 for the 4 so I'm not too upset. What tires are comparable to the A046 ? ...Or better within a reasonable price and wear?

your not going crazy thats how it feels. The stockers although not having a super skinny sidwall have a very very stiff sidwall which keeps the tire from deforming during handling especially during turn in.

The only way to keep your car feeling that crisp is to ensure that you by a replacement tire with a very stiff sidwall ot go down a size or so to a 35 Profile.

The side by side difference of the stocker tire to the all seasons I put on for the winter makes it very clear why the stockers can handle corners. You can really see and feel the difference between them.
