Brakes Squeak

Hey my brakes started to squeak last night. I have 1200 miles and I don't use the brakes like a granny. Some people told me its because of the dust(theres allot of dust where I live). My dad told me to do some panic stops and it should clear it out. Will that fix it? Anyone else have this problem??

It will fix it for a very short period of time and is just needless wear on the breaks if you ask me. they're performance brakes and unfortunatly squeek is something that comes with it.

Yeah, mine are squeaking, but only when i put a certain amount of pressure on them. It usually doesn't bother me. Also, sometimes when i slow to a stop with the clutch in, the engine makes a funny whooping noise(very quiet) but it sounds alot like police sirens......which scares me everytime hahaha.
I know the noise is normal, but its to bad it sounds like a cop.

My brakes only squeak when they get "hot". Otherwise they are fine.

My brakes only squeal when I stop in reverse. Seems kinda strange, but I would rather it only squeal in reverse than during normal driving.

When the brakes get hot, it will make some noise when you slow down and apply low pedal pressure. It is normal for these brake pads. And as long as you don't brake hard for awhile and let the brakes cool down, the noise will be gone. If you don't like the noise, just wash off the brake dust every couple of days. This should help.

that's normal... metallic brake pads (hi performance brake pads) clamping a metal brake disc.

I posted this on another thread.....

I found the fix to the brakes squealing. I do not have to clean my car very often with living in sunny Phoenix heh. Each week I give it a California duster treament and some Meguiars Detail Spray. I spray the wheels down with water and wheel cleaner and dry them down with a towel. So I began to notice my brakes squealing more and more, right. So I say WTF, I had noticed everytime I gave it a full car wash with the power hose, the squealing would stop for a week, so I began to really spray the wheels down each week, getting inside near the calipers real good. Bam, problem solved. No more squeak if you clean all the brake dust out with a good hosing of water and wheel cleaner. Thought I would pass it on.

Mine squeak like a bus after I change to AP Lockheed pads. It also generates a lot of brake dust, and wear the disc faster. But I think the brake is a very important mod, and I can't wait for the disc to wear out so I can buy better one.

Mine squeak the last two feet before entire stop, i dont care what anyone says, i feel like an a hole paying almost 40 grand for a car that sounds like a piece of crap squeaking everytime i stop, im not washing my Rally Inspired car ever week , i got it to drive not to clean constantly so it doesnt make noise and my anti lock brakes also locked up on me in the snow and would not release i just slide and slide to a stop, whats up with that.
