I think weight is the most important aspect of the vehicle.
Tires second.
COG third...only because it's very difficult to change, but easy to design. Since we're modding an existing car, it gets relegated to a lesser of an important thing to change since it's so difficult to change.
I want to fit 315 Hoosiers... TERRIBLY bad. I just don't think they'll fit on an 11" wheel that well. I can fit 11's on the OEM body, I'm not confident I can fit 315's on 11's on the OEM body. THIS is my dilemma. That and the price hike going from 10.5 classics to 11" classics.

i am running on my evo ix now 265 35 18 with 18x9.5 with 27offset and 25mm rear spacer and front with 30mm spacer.. but my front fenders are carbon seibon and the rears are custom at 35mm+ wider.... what i have been wanting to do is go to 18x11inch too ...with 295-30-18...have you tried this combo??
plus my daily driver wheels are ame-tm02 with 18x10 with 10offset.. and with 265-35-18... i see you guys here are pushing the limits with stock ferders...my 2 cents is if you don't custom do the rear fenders you guys are losing alot of ground!! meaning ever since i went wider i have seen my car become a train on rails... and i want to go wider... and my cambers are front 3.5 and rear 2.5..... i hope this helps you guys...

Your saying that with the same 265 width your noticing that much of a difference going from a 9.5 to a 10?
i read the last 4 pages on this thread!!

Is that completely rub free inside and out? If so it gives me the confidence to order my 18x10+25

fender lines are out but they did run on the back with the taller tire. also spaced the front fender out a bit (.375" maybe) but there is a lot of room up there.
Back:
rolled flat and pulled. we used a porta power and some serious bars with uhmw for protection to get it as far as we did. one side no rubbing anywhere, but the othet has a slight rubbing on the tire. im on ohlins flag COs and they are pretty low ride height so that doesnt help.
even three wheeling im not rubbing other than slightly on the outside of one rear tire:
