that wouldn't be so bad if they charged what we charge per hour LOL.

still cheaper than body work WITH paint, though.

Testing wheel travel:

I have ohlins 10k front, 12k rear springs. I also have 22mm whiteline rsb, all the other wheels were on the ground.

Good to know I can basically run over a concrete parking curb without bottoming out I guess.

The plastic ear from the bumper is the closest it gets with the wheel chalk.

Front looked ok.

The other side I really forced it with a jack.

I got some contact from the point of the key and backwards on the last 5mm of travel I could managed with just jacking that tire. All the other tires were still on the ground. Any more jacking just raised the car and didn't stroke the wheel anymore. I dunno if I managed to bottom out the coilover, you can judge my ride height from the initial pics. I can't say I'm 100% sure I did TBH. I didn't set the ride height btw for looks, I set it because my roll center and handling sucked on a road course, and this ride height is the lowest I can go without big sacrifices with handling. But I also know it means I'm not needing as much clearance to run more aggressive wheel/tire combos.

Seems like it would fit with just a bit more camber. What I really want to fit is 275s on 18x10.5+20 (ce28rt) but my bfg rivals seem to run like 285s so I thought this would be a good test.

Both of these are great for the community to know as a reference. Obviously, there will a be a lot of work to make these fit properly.

Thanks for sharing!

I asked them about that car. That fender work typically requires touch up paint work, and that car got touched up. He said its usually around $1,500-$2k with paint work. Depends on how the paint handles the pull on your particular car. Still cheaper than a full wide body.

Yea NP. I wish someone did this earlier so I wouldn't even be in this situation. My car is definitely no stranger to bodywork/paint to clear tires:

I thought 9.5s were going to be the limit before it no longer looks OEM. I didn't want to do super obvious looking flares. But given how it turned out I wish I went wider right off the bat to the 10.5s.

I insist on my car looking like everything is OEM. Probably why I have the most mundane looking heavily modified evos around. I'll leave the looks to the cool kids.

If you don't mind, what did you pay for the pull and repaint?

Buy the damn trailing arms, run 10.5's, and give me money so I can buy more Evo parts.

Include all of the following and maintain the Bold Headings.
Year/Make/Model: 2005 GG MR
Wheels: 18X9.5 Enkei NT03+M +40 w/25mm spacers up front
Tires: 285/30-18 Kumho Ecsta V710 (DOT slicks)
Suspension: Vishnu/Gerrard Ohlins
Alignment: -3.0f/-1.5r 1/16th toe-out front & 0 toe rear
Fenders Rolled or Cut: Heavy rolling front / minor rolling rear
Other Body modifications: None
Advice: Keep it simple, and go with things that are proven to work. Don't just slap together random $200 braces and bars. Do your research, make a plan, and then follow it. Yes, there is more than one way to go fast.

In the event you do not have the specs for one of the "areas" please include it with N/A.
i'm still trying to figure out how your 285s fit your wheels like my 255s fit mine LOL.

+38mm offset is the key.

Why not just 18x10 +25 285/30/18 and be done with it? Spacer as needed.

The 10.5 stretches the sidewall for more clearance inboard and outboard of the tire.

Isn't the tread still in the same place? In which case a 10" wheel wouldn't need a stretch.
Just asking, I'm unfamiliar with tire stretching.

The tread does, but with the 10.5, the sidewall is lower profile and therefore flexes less while cornering.

agreed, but i was just asking about the clearance issue. are you saying the sidewall on a 10" allows enough side-to-side movement that it affects clearance? those are some TIGHT tolerances!
i'd never, ever run a 285 tire on a 10" wheel, though. i'd feel more comfortable with 10.5 or more.
