Swift are great lowering springs. Springs you want to avoid is Tein s-techs.

I'm in the same dilema as the OP...I want to lower the ride so it doesn't look like it's a damn truck, but I don't want to sacrifice much, if anything.

There seems to be a lot of mixed feelings about this

I run hotchkins springs and I love them. Course I havent swapped out any other brand spring.. Id go full coilover set up if I could afford it, but the springs did the trick for me.

I have WORKS ride springs and the EVO MR Bilsteins....... car performs awesome and looks good. Call WORKS to find out more about the springs and get some used MR strut assemblies, whole set up should be less than $1000. Others have done it, search for pics. The Swift springs are good with the Bilsteins too, so I heard.

I wouldnt have cared if the handling did get worse. I thikn the moster truck look is by far the worst thing about the EVOs looks. Just taking a bone stock EVO and lowering it changes the whole look and appeal of the car. Makes it look aggressive and just cool overall!

The Tein S-Tech is the worst Springs for the Evo ..
there has been Numerous Of Evos that got their Shocks Blown because of the Tein S-Tech ,, the first one to test them on the Forums was Carlos, got his blown and some other people in the suspentions forum who been wondering why their shocks blew, after installing the S-Tech .

Ive heard good things about Swift. I have the Hotchkis (for 73k miles now) and they are great too. Very even drop, not too extreme.

Swifts are great, but if your looking for more of a performance oriented lowering spring, then check out our GTWorx springs. We made handling the priority, and didn't end up lowering the car as much as a lot of other springs out there. I still think it looks great though

Springs will definitely change the look of the car and get rid of the nasty wheel gap. The handling will not necessarely improve from the lowering, if anything it'll get worse. Remember that the stock shocks are not valved for the increase spring rates and you'll end up with an oversprung car and eventually kill the stock shocks as a result. Another thing to remember when just slapping springs is that you are also changing the suspension geometry, among other things you are lowering the front roll center resulting on front heavy/roll happy/pushing car. If there was a company that offered upgraded and adjustable shock like the usual Tokiko, KYB, koni for the evo it will make putting spring just a matter of fixing the geometry back; but until then slapping springs are not really an improvement handling wise.
