Snow tires actually use snow for grip, and big blocks don't retain snow, they fling it out. So you're constantly trying to refill the gaps, which means this tire is only marginally better than a slick.

Go to the UP, southern Ontario, northern New York, or northern Europe and look at the tires people choose. When it snows every day for 4-6 months, you can't afford crap tires. Most of those places, you'll find a lot of Blizzaks, WinterSports, Alpins, Nokians, and Hakkas... one might be led to believe they work in the snow.

Ok, one last time and let me use small words.

I think you are utterly full of it. As such I am willing to meet up where we know there will be snow and see which tires work better. I have zero doubt as to which tire will work better so therefor I have no, and I do mean NO reservation about putting the cost of your set of tires in an escrow account or in the hands of a neutral third party to hold as proof of my sincerity.

What I demand of you to prove you are earnest is to do the same. Set aside the cost of my tires and the cost of my travel and expenses in an escrow account or a agreed upon 3rd party and we will make this happen. Seems you are rolling in cash and you are sure your tires are better so this should not be too much to ask.

I will not give you my direct number as you are off your bean and mad as a hatter. I don't give my number to ugly chics or broke back snow tire salesmen so your out of luck.

Now if you can do this and get at least 8" of snow I will come out. We would be better off as WSB points out to go up to the UP or the like as we can be sure of getting a good example of the snow state of the art but I honestly doubt you even have any idea what sort of conditions these folks face. If you care to do this I will increase the amount of money I put in escrow or with a 3rd party to cover your expenses in case you were to prove your point.

I'm not talking trash. I'm not all talk. I am simply calling you out on your terribly misinformed and off the wall take. If you can abide by the terms thats great. If not, and I know you won't so be it.

I have experience with both the perrelli snowsport 240's and dunlop M3's. I feel they are a good compromise between dry performance and snow traction. I know they are not the ultimate snow tires, but you don't suffer too much in the dry. Next year I plan on trying some 205/55/17 conti's if availability and my bank account allow.
