Springs on RS shocks
I see people throwing on Swift springs on the MR suspension with good results. Can the same be done with the shocks that are on my RS and have similar results? I know the MR suspension is better that the 8 or RS, but I figured I'd ask before I do something and end up looking like that slammed civic bouncing down the road
To me the ride is kinda harsh, if this isn't the way to go, is there a setup that maybe absorbs the bumps better and provides a smoother ride? I don't want Cadillac smooth, but definetly smoother than what it is. Car has about 25k on it. I tried BC Racing coilovers and on the softest setting couldn't really tell that much of a difference.

Swift makes springs for RS and GSR shocks as well as the MR bilsteins. They will make the ride feel more in-tune but it definitely won't improve the comfort. Pick up a set of used MR shocks and springs in the private for sale forum and $500-650 later your ride will be greatly improved.

Any other options that I could take a look at? I guess what I want is better dampening? I'm more concerned with a quality street ride rather than all out performance. My car will probably never see a track, an auto-x at the MOST.
you just answered your own question... your best option is the bilsteins.
The EVO RS and GSR are equiped w/ OE spec KYBs. They will work very well with Swift Springs.
The Swift springs are engineered and designed to work w/ these struts. Buy SWIFT with confidence!

I went from stock KYBs to being lowered on Bilsteins. Once you lower the car on Bilsteins you lose all that added "comfort" that they offer. If you are looking for a softer ride just get a stock set of springs and bilsteins. That or go with Megan Racing Street coil overs. They are probably the best bang for the buck and feel excellent. Do not get the Track version they are pretty darn stiff.

I have an RS with stock springs and Bilstein HD Struts.
It is alot more comfortable than the stock KYB's
Do some searches for Bilstein HD.
MR Bilstein shocks are said to be softer than the HD's.
If that is true, I dont think that the MR are an improvement over the HD's.
