Rear brake Caliper leaking

Took my evo to the shop and the bleeding valve on my rear driver side is leaking brake fluid. They said they tightened it and it still leak. Trying to see if they could re-thread it to see if it seals.

Is there any other advice someone could give about this or has experienced it? Any help would be a big help.

try a new bleed valve before you do anything...its cheaper than a new caliper and you never know.

If the sealing surface on the caliper is damaged, any competent machine shop should be able to fix it.

Would be very careful in considering a rethread. If you can, examine the seat, bleed valve and threads closely, even take pictures and post them here since we might be able to help with an inexpensive and safe solution.

Thanks. They think they found the problem. When I painted my calipers, they sain some paint got on the thread. I should have my car back in a few.

try a new bleeder valve with teflon tape or silicone sealent on it (but only a little silicone on the threads make sure you dont get it inside the caliper)

If that's the case, a tread chaser will solve the issue without damage to the caliper. Bleeder valve is otherwise designed to fully close without any sealant

i might as well tag onto to this post since i have a similar problem.

I was bleeding all 4 corners of the evo, until i got to the rear driver side inside caliper. I opened up the bleeder valve, and closed it but when i closed it, it didn't fully close (fluid was still dripping out of the nipple). I removed the screw only to find out the threads are ruined on my caliper and on my bleeder valve. Anyone know the exact size/thread of the bleeder valve to see maybe if i can retap it to a larger size to avoid a costly new rear caliper?
