Axxis brake pads

does anyone use these?
do you like them? worth the money?
i only drive the car on the street so no need for any special brake pad, just looking for something that will give me the closest to stock feel

im planning on getting them for my front brakes. do i need new rotors when i do this or do i need to machine them? someone told me you can just change the pads and it will be fine, no need to mess with the rotors. is this true?

the car only has 18k on it, but my front brakes make like a grinding sound when applied, and a squeaking sound when im just driving. so im figuring its time for new pads

I use these pads, actually the Axxis Ultimate pads. They are okay and can take some heat for spirited driving. If your rotors are in good shape just swap them in you will be okay. I suggest doing both front and rear pads on at the same time so you maintain the same F/R braking ability.

i am running these now. seems like they take a long time to break in. (also have new rotors) i think the pads are so mild, that its taking a while to break in the rotors. there is still a good amount of zinc coating where the pad is applied.

but yes, no lubrication needed - and they are completely silent.

where do you get them and how much are they?^^

anyone else you axxis pads?

i just went out and took my wheel off...
the outside pad on the drivers side(the one you can see through the wheel) is in good shape, still a lot of meat on it. but the inside pad is gone....
is this normal? i havent looked at the otherside but they are probably okay since the noise is only from the drivers side

i wore my insides pads to metal. before the feeler on the outside pads even started squeeling. you will need to resurface the rotors - if you grooved them.

i got 50K out of my rotors - so i just replaced them.

girodisc has the magic pads.

Axxis are good, tend to be a bit dusty
My next pads would be the Giros or the NS Mu ones
