Thats too much tire for the EVO and an 8.5 in wheel. Scratch ever lowering that more than a 1/4 inch.

I have 235/40-18 and 255/35-18 being the best fitments for the car. 235's will work on 8.00 to 9.50" wheels, 255's will fit 8.50 to 10.00". The car MIGHT handle a 265 but I can't guarntee it.

265's are a bit too wide for an 8.5" wheel. 9.00-10.00" is the best fit for a tire that wide.

265 sits fine, and it is identical to the height of the 245 with 40 series tires. its not too wide, it will give more meat to the edge. to protect 3000 rims...

and my car IS lowered. the wheel gap is perfect.

EVOMIZ offsets really depends on which wheels you intend on running. With the EVOs brakes you have to be careful. AIG your TE37 in 18x8.5 will need a +30MM

true on+30.. 265 is cool on 35 series and hieght is same as 245 40 or 255 40's... Iwill run a 18x8.5 +30. TC2's and get a 245 40 tire..

Now not all tires sport the same sidewall/edge that clears. Continental Extreme contact for example are so squared (wide stance on all tire sizing/looks bad ***) but that it will not clear some applications, so choose your tires wisely.

cheers
