Suspension Clunk

Over time there has been a great deal of talk about suspension clunking noises (over large bumps, etc) but I have never read if anyone resolved the issue.

Has anyone got under the car and found something loose (e.g. drop links), tightened it and subsequently resolved the issue?

Or is it the case that the bushing material for the bars is making noise and that is what we are hearing?

I would like some more info on this too. I've been hearing the front suspension clunking everytime I pull in/out of my apartment driveway or go over anything more than a 1" bump. My gym parking lot is the WORST EVER, good lord. It would be nice to resolve this but it's probably just inherent to the car.

Mounted the brake air guides this weekend. They attached to the lower A-arm drop link attachment points. Not only were the bolts tight, everything else associated with the bar was also tight.

I have more or less decided that it's a feature

My right rear suspension started making sqeaking noise several weeks ago whenever I go over a bump. Is this what you are experiencing?

My car started after running it over a bad track near work.

The sound is as if the drop links or strut is loose. But it the front and rear of the car. The common element is the drop links.

Try braking hard across bumps (like washboard gravel). I don't think it's suspension. It's too solid, Motor/ trans or subframe coming in contact with something is my guess...

Can I recommend re-greasing front and rear sway bar bushings. This is a common problem on 3G's and regreasing the bushings almost always solves the problem...

Excellent keep us posted. My clunking only comes from the front. I have had to brake hard over a few bumpy roads, one time the wheels even hopped.

Aside from these Rochester roads being ****ty as all gittup, I can't see why this would be happening, but it's starting to not bother me anymore.

This is what it sounds like.

In other words the bar binds up and breaks free. What is the bushing material?

rubber is stock, not sure what grade. My aftermarket bar has polyurethane bushings.
