Crooked Steering Wheel
My steering wheel is always in the same position after a turn. To have it changing position the way you describe something has to be very wrong. I can't' imagine it being very hard to find either. Some part of the steering is loose. So, put the car up and start yanking on things.
It could be a tie rod end, it could be the entire rack is moving, it could be a ball joint. I'd put my bet on the entire rack moving. Good luck.

Bringing this thread back to life to see if anyone else has experienced this. Basically whenever I do a 90 degree left, then back towards center, it will be off to the left by like 10 degrees. If I don’t have to crank the steering wheel too far to the left, the issue doesn’t happen, just when I crank a lot to the left.. When I turn right, the steering wheel goes back to the center. I did take off and on a coilover due to having it rebuilt. I thought since I took off the coilover and put it back on I messed up my alignment so I got it aligned. Same issue still happening. Everything seems to be buttoned up fine. Haven’t ever messed with the steering system, just the outer tie rods.
maybe the clamp on the steering column is loose? or the clamp for the balljoint? also check if steering rack is moving(needs new bushings). front wheels should be loaded so blocks under tires might be a good approach
