Absolutely stunning! What fender work was required to fit these?

17x9 +22 in Bronze, pretty beat up but I love the original Bronze color <3
Tires are RE-11s in 245/40/17 - I 100% want to go at least 255 next time, I had these on my 17x8's and they were brand new so I didnt want to buy new tires again.

9" +22

You would need a rear guard roll. Relocate rear bumper bolt too if you drive the car hard/carry rear passengers

If you go +22 it depends what tire you run.

I have 18x9.5 +22 on my evo and 265/35 tires. All i have done is rolled rear fenders. No pull or anything. And I will only scrape on really big bumps. If I put a little more camber it would easily go away. You would be find with 245 255 i believe

I ran the 255's on this same wheel on my Evo 8 and same fender work as well. No real rubbing issues with slightly more aggressive than stock camber. 255 still fits with out much of a stretch on 9.5" wide wheel. 245's will have some stretch to them though, but should be horrible.

Thanks!!

No fender work required, I haven't even rolled the fenders yet. The rears rub slightly on hard turns and bad with rear passengers, but that was also with both rear shocks blown, I haven't been able to test it with the new coils I got yet. I am going to raise it slightly and roll the rears when I get the car back either way. Tires are only 245/40/17 too which helps, I want to go wider with at least a 255 next time around.

Hi mate

+22 all the way. +35 doesn't get that nice concave look. If you're game the +15 looks bad a$$ (extra concave and lip)

As Polish mentioned above depends what tire and how low you want to go. I rolled rear guards flat, relocated bumper bolt. Nothing required for the front. Rear camber 2* or so to get them to clear. Clear the Brembos easy, they also clear my Alcons with plenty of room

Maybe the US cars somehow have bigger guards (or tires are narrower than advertised? I dunno... lol) but there is no way I can fit 265's. 245 & 255 *just* fit

FWIW I've tried a few different tires to get it spot on. 245/35 (used in that pic), 245/40, 255/35. Prefer the 35 profile as you don't get the guard liner rubbing issues the 40 profile sometimes get

Hope that helps

I have TE37 18x9.5 +22 and i run a 265/35 tire and I do not rub at all. It just takes a lot of work. Stock body all i did was roll the rears and they arent even rolled flat.

My Buddy on the right in the picture is running Enkei RS05RR and they are 18x9.5 +22 with the same 265/35 tires and only rolled.

I'm looking at picking up some 18x9 +35 Volk TE37 wheels for my IX… I have spacers from my previous tire setup. I'm running Swift lowering springs on Bilstein shocks. I'm hoping, and I don't want to roll my fenders.

Can an Evo IX run a 9.5 wide tire without modification and/or spacers?

What size tire do you recommend?

My attempts...

I get a wheel set of TE37 SL 9,5"/ et22 direct from a EVOX of a fried, running on Yohokama´s Neovas 255/35/18". In the pictues, no spacers required

In the pics its possible to see how the wheels get outside the car line.

My coilver is a Ohlins Road and Track, my car dont have any fender roller job.

I didnt like the visual, too much "outside" the car... I would have problems in big bumps.

So, i get a set of XXR´s 9"/et25, running on Michelin´s Super Sport 255/35/18".

I have to put a 9mm spacer in front to get clearance of brake calipers.
At rear, no spacers required, but i ll have to roll the fender, bumps problems.
