Tire Size question

I am getting some 245/45/17 tires for my stock wheels and wanna make sure they will not rub. I do not think I will have any problems, but I wanna be certain. So, will they rub on the w/stock 17x8 wheels?

i know a 245/40 and a 255/40 will not rub, but i am not sure on the 245/45.

please do not just say roll the fenders, unless there is no other option

thanks in advance

i had the same concerns. i have 245/45/17. before i put my swift springs on, they didnt rub. and they barely rub now that i have the springs on, only at full lock on the wheel well, they dont even touch the fenders as far as i have noticed. i still dont have my fenders rolled yet, but im prolly gonna get the rear done sometime soon

Hey man,

This question has been asked alot! Here are some links being I'm a nice guy!

Also, from one manufacturer to the next, the 245 width will vary! Some will run wider than others FYI!

Ah yeah, and actually again, depending on the manufacturer the 255's MAY rub.

I know for a fact at full lock my Star specs (255/40/17) did rub the inner wheel well linings.

What brand/type of tires are you looking at getting anyway? That would be more beneficial in helping!

Many have done 245's w/out any issues. A 245/40 is a bit more comfortable than the 45 series though.
