I had a popping noise from the front left strut. It would pop when I slowly started going. I could also hear it clunking when ever I was driving slow. It happened after I switched to the lesser of the 2 camber adjustments. I also checked torque on all the bolts, etc. I looked up into the spring perch and noticed that they were not aligned correctly from when I installed my springs. They twisted from whenever I impacted the top nut on and didn't notice it. I pulled them apart, realigned the perch, and put it back together. Haven't heard the noise since.

 

hmmm i just had alignment done 1.5 weeks ago, could they have done something wrong?!

MOD Lock found out the problem!!!! my aftermarket HID ballast was touching against my uicp so now it's all fixed!!!

On my Mini Cooper, I had this exact same issue. It was a motor mount coming loose, if anyone else has a similar issue, check you motor mount bolts.

 

I had a funny knock, banging. forgot to remove the bungee holding the drive shaft up when The Shep trans was installed. LOL it didn't do it at all for 40 miles then suddenly wack wack wack. I looked under the car and there was the rubber bungie wrapped around the drive shaft LOL
