noise when braking and driving slow

i have a weird noise that only happens under 15 mph.
when im driving i hear nothing but if im on the brakes i start to hear a kind of thumping grinding noise that sounds like something is stuck in the tire or i have a bad spot on my tire.
it also makes the same noise when i am in stop and go traffic.
a lot of vibration occurs when the noise is happening too.
i was thinking wheel bearing but when i changed my oil today the tires where solid and didn't wiggle.
anyone have any problem similar or any advice
thanks!

Did you check all pads for thickness. Sounds like one has been worn to the backing plate.

check the tightness on the bolts for everything down there. i would systematically tighten everything i could find that has to do with my wheel assembly and supporting equipment.

I just did my brake upgrade to slotted/drilled rotors, and pads. My car sounded different as well. I will visuall inspect it this weekend for any untight connections. The other noise I here outside of tire or brake noise, is the downpipe noise. I have a 3 inch, not sure on brand, but it sounds like it plays tapty tap on the sub-brace down there....

My downpipe does that on my car. To remedy this I took a piece of radiator hosing, cut it in half, and wedged it between the frame and the top end of the downpipe. No more noises from that.

As Mike stated check your pad thicknesses. I betting the inner pads are worn completly down

In my case, checked the pads (inside and outsource and they have plenty of meat).

take it to your tire shop to have it looked at. The last thing you want is a blown tire on the highway somewhere.

Better be safe than sorry.
