Snow on the ground
Winter Tire and Wheel Set
I just got my Pirelli Winter Sport 210's on ARS KA-3 Wheels yesterday. Total cost delivered and mounted was $1292. I will have them on in the next few days and let you know how they look and how they work. The reviews on the Pirelli's were outstanding on snow. They apparently are a little noisey and not fantastic on pure ice. They have long wear capability - 25000+ and supposedly work well on dry roads. I will keep my Advans for summer driving
Source of Tire Package
I got the package from the Tire Rack. It was listed under their winter specials. The KA-3 only has a 35mm offset, but the people at the Tire Rack told me it has an arched spoke design that lets it clear the brakes. I will post the results when I get them put on.
Tire Package
I saw it on their winter specials list, but could not find it anywhere else on the website. I called and talked to someone who told me that they did not have the center coned cover plate in stock and I had to wait almost thirty days to get them. I questioned them in detail because the specs say you have to have a 38mm offset to clear the brakes. The ARS KA-3's are listed as 35mm so I was concerned, but the person on the phone said they would work because of the way the spokes arch out. I will have the wheels put on this week and I will post if there are problems.
Damnit, I also just noticed that they disappeared from the tirerack web site. In another thread, Neal says they're out of stock until Nov 16. I hope I can wait that long...
Anyone have an opinion of Dunlop M2's in 205/50 on the KA-3 wheels? Is this a bad choice?
Yellow, what size 210's did you get?

I also bought a set of Pirelli Winter Sport 210s and mounted them on a set of stock EVO rims I picked up for a pretty good price. I haven’t seen any snow yet, but they handle windstorms and floods pretty damn well.
I’ve only had them mounted for a few hundred miles, but I’ll give a full report in a month or two.
