PIC R1 Coliovers

Is anyone running these coilovers? Or know someone who has? Here is a link to them, I am thinking about picking them up (getting a good discount) but want opinions. The price is unbeatable, so I am looking for opinions in PERFORMANCE. Thanks!

I ran their TSO's awhile back. I know the R1's are an upgrade over what I had, but all I got with the TSO's was terminal understeer. I think it was because they slammed the car too low withe their setup, I tried to raise it up but their springs were too short to allow much of a raise.

I run the R2 setup. I have them set about as high as you can and the car is about 1" lower then stock. I left the car high to clear some 275s.

I don't track the car, but on the spirited corner on the street, it hangs the back end out nicely under power. I love the balance the car has. The car doesn't want to spin, it just wants to put the back end a little to the side and power through the corner. I have yet to get it to understeer as beyond the absolute limit, the car wants to 4-wheel slide with the back end leading the way. Very similar to my 50/50 weight balanced BMW with suspension work.

In wet/snow conditions, it's very tail happy. It's predictable, but the tail is definitely coming out first.

I will say though that most people that ride in my car say it rides too stiff. I think it feels like an overgrown go-cart.

Seems to be a decent coilover. I am getting a good deal for them and was in the market for new suspension anyways. I will post up how they ride over time.

I am hoping the R1's arent too stiff. I like to feel the road when I drive so I want them to be pretty stiff.

How long have they lasted people? Anyone have any mileage estimates for how long they have been running them? Besides performing better, I am looking for a decently long life from them. Car is a one of two DD's, so its like a half-daily driver.

I got a set of the R1s. I am looking for settings as a starting point to save me some time at the alignment shop getting corner weighted.

Any suggestions ? ?
