long as the crack isnt on the lug area or on the base itself, i researched it should be safe to repair. unfortunately this isnt a crack but a complete seperation so im thinking some companies may be reluntant to repair this....

so have you tried contacting volk about it? the wheels don't really look abused so they might replace it.

At the very least, I would think they would like to see a cross section of the break to see if it was a manufacturing or material flaw. Without a lateral impact, it's such an odd place to fail.

people are suggesting it could be a piece of carbide in the forging process making this fail.

Why is everyone acting like this would never happen to a set of Volks, it happens and this is proof. There is no damage on the outer parts of the rim, so it doesnt look like he hit a curb. It does suck that its cracked but all you can do now is buy a new one or sell them.

Wow that's crazy...I had a tire break the bead and completely fall off my CE28n at speed. Completely ground the hell out of the whole rim. I'm still using that rim right now haha

No...to fix it, they would grind it down smooth and paint it. There's nothing left to grind down. If I ground it down anymore, the bead wouldn't hold air hahaha

And I still take hard turns on this rim. Man I love Volk...I highly doubt Rotas would've held up to that punishment.
