I wouldn't trust that rim- rather a space saver or crapper than that, that crack has a hole punched in it!!

FYI there have probably been more RPF1's bend or break than either Rota's, Volks and Advans. A lot of people run them with great success but their spoke design does not make them that strong of a wheel. This has been discussed many times before.

Any wheel can break imo...cast wheel tend to bend more and forged wheels can crack. Thing with Volk and some of the other top tier brands you RARELY ever hear of it. Running low pro tires with extremely stiff sidewalls such as those advans can compound this problem. Very odd that a CE28 wheel cracks though as they are considered one of the strongest wheel designs. Most likely a fluke in the manufacturing which happens in any industry one time or another.

I had a set of fnoc1r's straightened on a machine and a year later one of the spokes broke, just like that picture. If you bought them used, thats my bet.

Yeah, but this way I'll be out $1200 for the set instead of $800 for one wheel. Enough hardcore track guys run RPF1s for me to rest assured.
