project mu brake pads?

so i'm looking at possibly purchasing the project mu ns front and rear brake pad combo.. do any of you guys have any experience/ more information about these pads?

i've been searching for a while now and haven't really seen too much information, this is for a daily driven evo with the stock brembo calipers...

i'm not a fan of the hawk brakes because of the squeal, i don't really track but i do want some improved brake feel

I've used these and still have a set on the back. The fronts caught on fire, so they were replaced. Not a bad street bad for a non-aggressive driver. Virtually no squeal and fairly predictable...up to a point.

hahaha what to you mean they caught on fire?!!! i checked out that brake duct thread but i didn't see anything specifically about the project mu brakes i've been searching google also about these pads, most people seem to have pretty good things to say about them as far as dust and initial stopping power..

Without good tires good brake pads aren't going to make a huge difference but i'm looking for a pad with good wear and is going to stop a little better then what i have on there now.

If I did not add them to my thread, means I had no real information on them (MOT or R).

And there are well tested and known pads for the Evo that I recommend.

I don't want to break any rules, so I won't go into detail.

If you just drive to the store and back, maybe occasionally slow down from a run at the strip, they're fine. Good initial bite, low dust, little squeal. Take them a bit further and the fun ends. You can decide whether they're a good fit for your needs. Good luck.

so one or two 130mph slow downs on the track should be fine? i'm not going to be racing or anything due to that fact all we have down here is a 1/8 mile track, they should be good for daily driving..

smikeevo i understand you have tried and true brake pads but i'm wondering if the project mu pads are good brakes that may have fallen under the radar... not to sound like a hondaguy but most of the products out of japan are of great quality and are direct bolt on replacement

If you're not braking from 130 at max force a couple of times in a row with little cool-down time, they'll be fine for your use. An occasional slowdown from 130 to say 30 on the track isn't a problem.
