Anti-lock light??

My anti-lock light comes on, not as soon as I start the car but at the strangest times.. Just usually if Im driving around. Have noticed that it comes on more if I drive across bumps, but then it will randomly go off and then come back on. Could the sensor be bad?

Read your post. Have no input. My Evo VII doesn't even have that light... my wife has an Evo VIII and it only comes on when she takes her key out and the turbo timer kicks in. I would "guess" that either maybe your ignition key fits loosly so it reads as being ejected sometimes or maybe your turbo timer... I dunno.

You'll probably figure it before me... but I will ask my Evo buddies around here.

Hmm well thanks, sorry I just didnt even think about it. 03 VIII, no aftermarket brakes, rotors, or anything. Ill have to check the key, never thought that could be it. But when the turbo timer kicks in the anti-lock light doesnt come on. Not a huge problem, the light just gets annoying.

Did you check the Speed sensors on all 4 wheels? They can get damaged or unplugged during suspension work. They are easy to see once under the car..should be the only wire located on the spindle.

if they are fine, then possibly the connector needs to be cleaned. The speed sensor read off a rotor (looks like a gear), this could also be possibly dirty or damaged. These rotors are part of the axle and help the speed sensor determine wheel speed.
