if it handles worse than stock and is stiifer than stock after you add lowering springs, that really sucks. the only up side would be the look of having it low. I guess i will just stay stock.

It handles better than stock, and is a "little" stiffer than stock, but not bad at all.

The only reason it would handle worse than stock is if you don't have it aligned after the drop. Mine handles much better (s-techs) and the ride is very nearly stock, slightly stiffer, and looks perfect. If you want a stiff ride, go for coilovers. I had Tein coilovers on my Evo, and they were the closest to stock in terms of spring rates of any coilovers I could find for the Evo. Even adjusted to full soft, they were killer stiff. Bottom line, if you care about ride quality, don't change anything on your Evo. Not strut bars, sway bars, springs or anything else.

I heard you have to cut the bump stops on the S-Techs. Do you have to cut the bump stops with both springs?

Yes, you should, they are pretty low to begin with, here is a good write up on it:

I did, (have the Tein's) and im sure you do with the others, the amount will depend on the amount lowered and the spring company....

But how about the Tanabe springs, is it required to cut the bump stop when installing these. On their website it says that if bump stops are a problem, then the kit will include new ones.

No idea Erik, I wouldn't worry about it unless Tanabe sends the new ones or instructions on theirs....

Okay smart guy, what are the rates of the springs then? Hmm dono right so if you don't know what you started with then change it how is that any better? I am not tring to bust your ***** but changing this when you don't know what you are trying to fix is kinda dumb. I guess I can say 2 things that are good, They are green so they are perfect for christmas, and they lower the car so it looks Kool.

DynoKing: relax man... you are the one who started if you think they both suck, why are you insterested in this topic anyway? I mean if someone wants to lower 3" ?? who cares, its his car his money.

topic was to compare both springs....

Erik: when you get the springs, instructions are included, either to cut them both or just the front ones. Good luck.
