What are you proposing? Running stock wheels with a widebody?

Or are you doing this so you know what wheels you can fit? CCW will work with you to make sure you get the proper wheels so if that's the case, don't worry about a spacer.

Also, if you aren't going to be driving the car you can make a mock spacer out of wood.

Biggest I've seen is 25mm ~1in

What widebody do you have?

Go to motorsports-tech.com for your spacers. I run a custom 26mm spacer from them. Google ARP wheel studs and buy. I'm running their 3" studs and could go to a 30mm spacer if absolutely necessary.

Are you talking about the factory rear quarters? Where to cut them? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...track-car.html

Some pics there ^

What wheel and size are you trying to fit? Buying spacers for this type of mock up is a total waste of money.

If you're talking about a non-bolt-on spacer, I'm almost maxed out on thread with my 22mm spacers with the ARP 3" studs.

^^^lol, you can go a lot further. You need a minimum of 6 full turns and you're good.

Rule of thumb is a bolt or nut should be threaded a minimum of at least the same length, as the diameter of the stud or bolt. (eg. a 12mm bolt should be threaded in a minimum of 12mm or .5")

I'm guessing 6 turns equals roughly 6mm so you're about half of thread needed. I'm sure 6 turns is okay and holds but I'd be a little nervous on hard corners with sticky tires.

I did not pull the number 6 out of a tophat...it was given to me by robi and he uses that rule on his own cars as well as customers. With robi's track experience, that is good enough for me.

Going by the standard Engineering rule of thumb, an M12 x 1.5 should have 1.5 times the thread Dia in thread length engagement. That puts it at 12 threads min engagement.

Of course thats a rule of thumb and doesnt really scale well with dia. So going with 1 times thread dia would leave you at 8. Thats what I'd shoot for.

Well unfortunately new rims are a bit out of the budget for awhile so im going to need to get spacers for a bandaid fix or drive around loookn silly with my rims tucked deep in the wheel wells lol. Im going to run 18x10 I think and use a huge offset.the quaters are 35mm wider so in theory I should need a 35 mm spacer which I think would be a bolt on spacer correct?
