strut adjustment???

Hey guys im going to the track for the first time in the evo 8 this saturday and i was curious if the factory struts are adjustable and if so is it worth fooling with? I noticed the previous owner has cut out holes in the trunk carpet where he has fooled with them for one reason or another. Any info would be appreciated.

Is it on stock shocks and springs? He may of had adjustable aftermarket coil overs that had dampening adjustment. If you are stock suspension than you won't have any dampening adjustment.

he had a rear strut bar installed...that would acct for the holes and no obvious changes in the shock mounts
