Tein Basics...who has em, how do you like em?

Does anyone have these on their Evo's yet? I really dont think I need a high end coilover for my kind of driving...however I dont want the handling to suffer....i haven't heard too much about these. What's everyones thoughts and opinions?

No adjustable SS's. Ask if anyone has the SS's....You should get a good reply then.

I have em. They are very nice. The ride is stiff and handles like its on rails. Trust me, your handling will NOT suffer.. but your ride quality might a little bit... =) Ride height adjustable only though, so I'm thinking about selling them. PM me if you want more info.

The ride is definitally stiffer but the handling is much better. The drop makes it look much more agressive and I would definitally recommend this kit.

Would this set up improved handling if you DID NOT lower the car? This is my daily driver and there are just too damn many curbs, speed bumps and track for me to worry about hitting. Thanks in advance.

Installing these at their highest setting will still drop the car a bit.

in no way are they mushy. They are very stiff, and they provide extremely sensitive handling. If you hit a patch of bumpy road, you will definitely need two hands on the wheel!

I have about 2000 miles on mine, but I'm looking to sell them. I want something with more adjustability. Ride height adjustable is cool, but I also want damping adjustments.

If somebody wants to buy a set of 2k mile old TEIN BASIC DAMPERS for a very good price, let me know.

I am getting my Tein Basic Dampers on tomorrow. I hope they aren't too stiff but I didn't think the extra $5-700 for the Tein SS or Flex would be worth it just for dampening adjustments. I'll have my review of them next week and I'll try to take some pics of the install.

is the lowering height limited say compared to the SS or Flex suspension setup ? Is the ride going to be softer with the Flex's or SS ?
