Brake Bleed - Stumped!

Your problem is more than likely that there is air trapped in or near the ABS control unit.
Check out my thread- I uses nearly 2 gallons of fluid before figuring this out.

With the system pressurized, crack open all the fittings going in to the ABS unit. It will make a mess and you will lose a lot of fluid, but it is still better than flipping the car over.

It is not really an informative thread, I just linked it to show I had a similar problem. It is still not 100%, but I believe with one more bleed it will be as good as it gets.

could be soft brake pads also. i have notice big difference with "sponginess" in pedal pressure going from on pads to another.
