Megan streets or Tein super streets?

I think its time for me to do some upgrading to my suspencion. I'm thinking either Tein Super Streets or Megan Racing's street coilovers. Does anyone know which one will be a better all around setup? DD but im a very aggressive driver and I don't mind a harsher ride than stock as long as I get good hook up. Also they will not be seeing winter, I will install them in the spring. I also want adjustability in ride height. Of course I'd rather get a set of Flex'es I'm only looking to spend around a grand. Any POSITIVE opinions? Is there a better coilover for a grand I should look into before making my purchase?

You don't need coil-overs.

You're wasting your money on anything under $1750.

Why do you think its time to upgrade your suspension?

Current mods?

Why does a street car need it?

i would say youre better off putting away some money and doing it right. go with something others have researched for you. its a large investment, and often i see people that try going the inexpensive route on coilovers regretting it because they dont last long and are usually not rebuildable. just my 2 cents, but doing it right the first time would be best.

How can you say "I don't need coilovers"? Obviously I'd like to improve my handling and get a more aggressive feel. Again, I don't mind losing a little comfort for better grip. Its not all about going in a straight line ya know. Corners are more fun. I have to replace my stock suspension so why not improve a little? There aren't tracks around here so I don't need the very best. I'm looking for good advice not criticism. Tein makes a quality coilover so what makes you say the streets are a "cheap" way to go? I've also been told the Megan Streets perform well are durable and inexpensive. I don't see a point in spending a grand if they will be worse than what I have, I believe if your gonna do something go all the way the right way the first time so I'm not looking for a cheap easy way out either.

Easy. You don't need coil-overs. Just because you can replace it with something else; does not mean that its better.

...and I race cars. Specifically, I race momentum cars. Where I have to be fast in corners. Hold the straight line stuff.

You're not improving the handling with cheap coil-overs.

Tein does not many anything below their big big buck stuff that is quality. They are the Starbucks of suspensions. Mediocre with a lot of hype so everyone wants it.

Bingo - don't waste a grand if they are not better.

If you want a good, robust, and well sorted improvement -- Bilstein MR or HD struts, proper spring (GTWorx, RobiSpec, or Swifts (2 types)) and sway bars will give you more than you'll be able to drive at the limit.

You're doing it wrong

Used, low-mileage Bilstein MRs are ~$400 range for all 4.
New Bilstein HDs are ~$750 for all 4.

Springs are $300 new.

Yes. Whiteline front sway bar and Perrin/Progress rear bar is a nice pairing.

Here is what I ran (what made the GTWorx package):

Bilstein HD struts
Swift Spec R springs
Swift front and rear bar
Ran on street and r-comp tires. AX and HPDEs.

Here are the current packages:

Add in Whiteline FSB and Perrin/Progress RSB - pretty much my setup and very well sorted (~$1300 in parts).

Just sent them a PM as I thinking of ordering SMIKE Swift/GTWORX Bilstein HD set up but I don't have OEM top mounts any longer.

May I have to source those elsewhere??

Not sure

I do have camber plates on current BC setup for the fronts, rears has BC's normal top mounts

Not sure they'll work for the GTWORX kits as the springs on most aftermarket CO's are not wide like the OEM set up

I was not as clear as needed.

You'll need camber plates that worked on the OEM suspension. Coil-over plates wont work.
