Question Tire Size Question

I am running Enkei RPF1 on Robispec springs:
17X8.5
+30mm

Which tire size would you recommend out of this bunch:

235-45-17
245-45-17
245-40-17
255-40-17

I am going with Star Specs, but in terms of daily driving/autocross/drag which I do participate in, what size would you go more towards? Prices are not much different anyway, not that it matters, but I have always ran the stock 235-45-17. Would there be a noticeable difference in any of the other sizes?

I've seen owners use all of those with no problems.

Why would you choose this size over the rest?

Not true. 255-40-17 is actually smaller than stock. I had them and they are nice but almost over kill and very heavy. I just switched to 245-45-17 because it's slightly taller than stock. This provides better turn in and less under steer and also provides longer gearing for tight autox tracks. Prolly even beneficial in drag racing to stretch out your gearing a little. From my measurements the 245's were only .25 inches narrower than the 255's as well. Also I think they weigh a pound less. Btw I am talking about the star specs. Thats the only summer tire I have ran on my Evo.
