Coilover advice
Ok. So I have an 06 Evo 9. Just got some 18x9.5 +15 battles for it. Next thing I want is a good set of coil overs. Mostly for a better look stance wise. I have done a good amount of research. None of the kids I run with have anything close to an Evo. So would like some out side opinions. Maybe what you did. I like in Utah and have ****ty winters sometimes. And have heard of lower quality coilovers rusting out pretty quick. Anyways thanks for the help.
I hear great things about Apixi S1s, they are also stainless steel...wont rust in winters like some other alternatives

The S1 is a little bit heavier than the N1. The S1 has a SS body while the N1 is all aluminum.
The S1 has been revalved for US roads to help improve ride quality and they do ride EXCELLENT. I think they are the best riding coil over I have ever personally witnessed on the road. The S1's I had on Project White and I really couldn't be more impressed with them. I used the car for multiple autocross events and did very well for my limited driving experience on them.
It's a tough choice. I think if weight savings and drag racing is your primary concern then the N1's are for you. If you want better ride quality, cornering and drag racing and don't care quite as much about the weight then go with the S1.

That thread is from over 3 years ago, I'm sure there are better choices out now for coilovers. I personally have KW V3's on my car, couldn't be happier. I don't know what setup would give you the stance look, but check out the show & shine, think I saw a thread with "stanced out" evos. Not my cup of tea, but whatever makes you happy thats all that matters.

Don't need coil overs. Get a good set of springs (GTWorx, Robi, or Swifts).
Look up pictures of those cars first. And you'll be improving the ride of the car over some low end coil over.

I would do springs, but I feel like that is the limited/ easy way out. I want to be able to slam my car one day and when it snows be able to come back up and deal with that. One height forever? Idk. And I would like a good smooth ride that I don't feel like you can get from springs compared to coilovers. Springs are the lazy mans way of going low.
