I've had my evo since 2006 and when I bought it had already been lowered. (Only lowering springs, not sure what brand) Over the years the ride has gotten much more bouncy and you can feel every bump. Any suggestions about how I would go about fixing this problem would be appreciated. Thanks.

New struts.

Can you find out which brand? Color? Labels? Numbers on them?

I tried to find anything I could just by looking at them and I didn't see anything. They are discolored now but if my memory serves me correctly I believe that they were yellow.

Yellow?

Not gold, orange, dayglow orange?

Can you get a photo of them?

Hotchkis:
Front 1.5" Drop 195lb/in // Rear 1" Drop 275lb/in

Stock:
Front 180lb/in // Rear 225lb/in

Too much drop up front and not enough spring rate. I'd be concerned with bottoming out the strut up front. I'd replace.

Any recommendations for a replacement strut that is not to costly? Would you replace the back strut also? Thanks for all your help.

Bilstein HD is the only new strut you can get.

Omitting dealer KYB or Bilsteins.

Used -- low mileage Bilstein MR or take off KYBs.

I'd do all 4. Fronts for sure.
