EVO X MR Lowering springs

Hi, I just traded my 04 EVO 8 and got an EVO X MR. I guess I should update by signature pic. Anyway, I love the car but feel like its on stilts. I felt my EVO 8 was lowered just right. I had KW coilovers on it. For the EVO X, I was thinking about just getting lowering springs for now. I was considering the Eibachs. But I have some concerns, and they are more about the ride quality getting worse because the stock Bilsteins are not setup to work properly with lowering springs and less about the brand of lowering springs. I like the way my EVO X feels on the road right now. I really want a lowered look and would like to retain the stock ride quality or go just a little stiffer. I would appreciate some feedback from anyone who has gone to lowering springs on an EVO X MR. Thanks.

I'm interested to hear what people have to say too. I am debating between Swift and Works springs for my MR, but would like to hear more feedback.

Ha...answers my questions. Looks like Swift springs it is. Nice, but not slammed drop and improvement on handling. Sold

I provided a reasonably comprehensive commentary of my impressions of SWIFT springs on my MR here: (OP + update on post #22)

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...tar-specs.html

In a nutshell: low speed ride is stiffer, body control is less precise at high lateral loads, front end body roll increased over the stock MR setup. Ride height is now perfect for me though, and that's the trade off.

Robi

What about Robi, does he offer anything? Also, I thought I saw a couple of posts alluding to lowering springs leading to earlier strut failure. Is there any truth behind struts being compromised by having them operate at a different range than the stock ride height?
