Evo feeling "Twitchy"

Hey all, i recently went on about a 1500km road trip to do some snowboarding, which involved quite a few back roads, and one road that was horrible and i could hear the suspension creaking and what not,

Anyway on the way back home the car felt very twitchy and was pulling left quite hard, (RHD) and the back end of the car felt all whalloy and the nose didn't seem to turn in as shard as it once did. Steering also feels awfully touchy.

Anyway i changed the tyre pressure and that seemed to help the problem a bit. I think i need a wheel alignment as maybe the bad roads ruined my alignment? also i can hear that i have a lose End link at the back and i mean very lose as it moves around with a quick jiggle, would these two things cause similar issues to as described

Cheers in Advance
Stephen

Stephen, are you on stock suspension & if not what mods have you done ?

Also, when you note endlinks, you are referring to the rear sway bar? either way, get that fixed!

I'm on coilovers at the moment. And yes by endlink I mean the link that bolts the sway bar to the rest of the suspension then yeah I do

Loose endlink is most likely your issue in the rear.

And the front I would say its the alignment

Figuring these issues out over the internets is tough & Im not the suspension expert but I wanted to share my experience

I had my suspension rake off spec, which in my case, my rear was too high in relation to the front. Entering high speed corners felt as you said whalloy

Your rake maybe spot-on, but you are on c/o's which means it has been adjusted! You noted loose suspension components as well as possible alignment issues which could be the problem

For that planted feel I wanted you to be aware of this thread on RAKE. Maybe some of the other guys will chime-in to help

If your rear sway bar isnt connected tightly, it will wonder.

How do I know?
I drive a lifted truck daily with no sway bars, and it wonders all over the road at low speeds. Cant imagine what how bad it would feel at higher speeds
