17x8 clearances (Enkei, Rota)

Hey guys,

I need to replace a set of wheels some dufus repeatedly spray painted.... I'm looking at Enkei Kojin and Rota Grid as my preferred wheels (unless someone knows a similar design to those two that would be better).

I'm having a hard time getting specs on caliper clearance on these however... I know a lot of people run the Grid 17x9 +25 without issue, however I am preferring to keep to the stock 17x8 size and stock size tires. I have been through dozens of threads but can't find anyone that has even tried stock size on those.
Does anyone know if the Grid 17x8 +35 will fit and clear the calipers on the front?

Same question, but on the Enkei Kojin, 17x8 +35. I've seen that the Kojin 17x9 is too close to the caliper as well as too close to the strut, but I can find nothing about 17x8 +35. Enkei so far has been no help.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Unfortunately that fitment will not clear your calipers.

Thanks Neal.... do you know what (if any) 17" Kojins will work?

Edit to add: I finally heard back from two other places I had asked and they are confirming Kojin 17x8+35 fits without issue. Hrmm.

I don't show any fit w/out issues. Make sure the wheels are returnable from that place before buying.

Thanks again Neal... I'm not buying anything unless I get a 100% confirmed fit first.

I've got an email out to enkei again but this time from a dealer to see if they have anything to say. That's my last effort before I give up... I'm not getting involved with returns etc. They are just wheels, I don't care that much

If nothing back or an agreed no-fit, I think I'm going to go RP03. It's a bit more obnoxious in the bolt pattern area, but otherwise still a decent look if you're into five spokes.
Someone else here confirmed a while back that 17x8.5+30 is a fit.

Okay the word back from Enkei was 17x9 +35 is a go, but 17x8 is not recommended. So there goes that.

They did say that the +30 RP03 is back ordered, but RP03 17x8.5 will go in a +35 as well. Any thoughts on going to a 8.5" wide rim and still using the +35 offset? It looks awfully close to the strut just with stock 8" wheels.

17x9 +35- volks fit my car fine with 255 rubber. No fender rolling required.

Sweet, thanks AK. I wasn't worried too much about the fenders as I was about the struts clearing the tires. I've got some sort of drop springs in this car anyway, so I may have fender related issues (in which case the 35 would be better for me).
My big concern was the extra 5mm pulled away from the strut on the only owner-confirmed fitment size, and not having that with the extra 1/4" in both directions on the 8.5.
If you have 9"@35 and it is clearing the struts, I should be perfect then.

Thanks!

I went ahead and got the +35 RP-03s and they fit perfect... there is tons of caliper room on these, about 3x as much as stock Enkeis.

Anyway, thanks for the help everyone!

I have 17x8 RPF1's and they have little to no lip so im pretty sure they are at least +35 and they fit fine.....no spacers, rings needed.
