Now, of course, springs do have a tendency to settle down abit lower after riding on them for awhile. So, I'll have to keep an eye on them to see how they do. But so far, I have absolutely no rubbing issues whatsoever. I work near downtown Atlanta and the streets kind be rather unforgiving, but the car soaks up bumps in a way that is VERY similar to the stock setup. You can tell, of course, that there is less suspension travel... but the stock struts and shocks seem to handle the new springs exceptionally well. I haven't had any regrets so far.
bunch of ****ing cry babies up in here...
you give your opinion on something (saying that you wanted a wider footprint and putting ****ing 235 tires on a 9.5" rim)
and right away you're a "hater"...
guess i'm hating then...
it just makes no sense...

Alright, I obviously didn't explain my intentions in my first post, so let me do that now and summarize.
{clearing throat}
My whole reason in getting 9.5 inch wheels is because I plan to put down BIG power and I want as much grip as possible. Since I was curious as to what the Evo can hold under the fender well, I decided to do my upgrades in stages. I started by mounting a 235 tire on a 9.5 inch wheel and seeing how much clearance I had to play with. Though the 235 tires are not the optimal tires for 9.5 inch wheels (yes, that is an admission), they are rated to handle the wheel just fine without any adverse effects. I lower the Evo a full 2 inches up front and 1 in the back.... still no rubbing issues... NO rolling of the fenders. So now I can clearly see where I can fit 255/35R18 tires on my car just fine with some minor rolling of the rear fender wells. That was the purpose of this whole exercise. I was curious about the fitment of 9.5 inch wheels and did not see much posted before when doing a search. So then.... for anyone who cares.... YES, they fit just fine and can do so with a wider tire than stock as well (please keep in mind I do have my alignment set at -1.5 deg camber all around, though).
The End.

Saying something looks "like ***" is juvenile and pisses people off right off the bat. It seems that you only like what is on you ride, and have nothing inciteful to add when people are looking for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Not trying to start a flame war, but honestly are you trying to make yourself feel any better by knocking someone else's style. So what if the rims are wide and the tires too narrow, you can always buy new tires. If it weren't for people trying new setups we would not know what works and what doesn't. If I am not mistaken didn't you have Volk TE-37's on your ride at one point

sorry, if i don't like it, i'm gonna say it... as long as i don't say, "hey you ****ing *******, that **** is garbage", i can pretty much speak my mind...and what's your point about me having TE37's on my car...? i didn't say i didn't like his rims... i questioned his reasoning on getting 9.5" rims to get a wider footprint and then running the stock tire size...
just to clarify, i had the LE37T's...
So since 18x9.5s will fit with a +35, anyone think 18x9.5 will fit with a +20mm offset? I figure it's only 15mm (.59inches), so rolling the fenders should be able to solve it, but Im always looking for imput from people with actual experience...
Any suggestions are welcomed...

Ehhh, not without pulling out the front fenders or buying all new ones. I don't think you'll be touching the suspension, but it will bulge out.

They look great!
Just wanted to say that I think your wheel set up looks great. I don't know how you keep them from scraping though. Have you done any hard turns after lowering the car? Anyway I'm about to put a similar set up but with 81/2 inch 18's. Had too many problems on other cars scraping. But I think the stretch look is better looking anyway. Almost all BMW's with 18's or the M3 with 19's come that way stock so that must tell you something. I lived in Japan for a long time and hate to say it guys but almost of the really good circuit racers do the same thing. So all you guys that are complaining about this guys set-up are really ignorant. In the states we are about 10 or more years behind the tuner scene compared to Japan, and Europe.

No scraping yet... the offset (+35) seems to be perfect for this wheel width. No problems with taking hard corners either... I can steer the car from lock to lock and nothing rubs.
I love my setup and I don't care who knows.
Literally everyone that has seen the car in person seems to love the look so I guess I must have done something right
