Judder when brakes are hot

Hi. I bought my evo 9 a couple of months ago. Because this was my first proper sports car I've taken it fairly easy while I get used to the levels of grip etc but the other day I went out for a good thrash around some country roads and noticed I start getting some pretty bad juddering under braking once the brakes are hot. Tonight I went out and done a bit of testing and found that if I get up to high speeds and then slam on the brakes it is as smooth as you like with no judder whatsoever, but after not too much on and off braking the judder gets pretty mental. I also noticed that I have to push the brake pedal harder when it's juddering but I suspect that could be because of poor contact between the pads and discs or something along those lines, rather than the pads fading?? I'm guessing the fact it only happens when the brakes are hot means that the discs are ok and don't have any build ups, so what would be the likely cause?

Thanks

My first thought was pad deposit but you noted the rotors are clean. If it were me, I might try & sand down the rotors & clean w/solvent then test

Hi, thanks for the response. I'll give that a go anyway but if it was dirty rotors I don't see why I would be able to get up to high speed when the rotors are cold and they work properly, but after continued abuse the crazy vibrations start?? I'll try it anyway but can't see it helping tbh, although I'm new to this so could be overlooking something.

Thanks again
