Camber/drop help a noob

I have a set of rpf1 wheels in 17x9.5 +38 wrapped in Hankooks 255/40/17 tires. Recently installed fortune auto coilovers amongst other things. Car is on stands for now(calipers being powdered and rebuilt) but I'm curious, how much camber on the front since I have to use a 20mm spacer would be recommended to not jack up my fender. I'm trying to be about a fingers gap or two in clearance from top of tire to top of fender. I won't be hurting suspension travel as these are lowered from the perch not spring. I'm planning on ordering the whiteline kits so the roll center is in check. Thanks guys.

I have a 16MM spacer and about -2.0 of camber lowered on Swift sports, Never rubbed or anything during Auto-X. I think you'd be ok with around -2.5...maybe less depending on how low you are?

That's the thing, my car won't be on the ground till Saturday hopefully. I'm looking to basically eliminate wheel gap but I'm not running restarted camber. I was thing going 2.5-2.8

i am on 18/9.5 +35 on broadway static coils, with 255/35/18 tires and run just under 2 degrees camber in the front, tucking just the tops of the tires in the front and i do not rub at all. i rolled just the inner edges of my front fenders to be safe but it really wasnt needed. with 17's and from what your describing as less drop, you could run whatever front camber setting you want it sounds like and not have any problems.

Yeah your probably right. I'm gonna run camber more for handling, not gonna run a crazy amount just to clear.

If you're going for handling, lowering the car to such an extent won't help.

I think it will. The lower the less body roll (to a certain extent of course) it depends on what exactly op's intended use of this car will be.

There are better ways to control body roll, without a negative impact on the car's geometry.

Track cars run low..I'm not gonna be sitting hellaflush or tucked. I'll sit roughly a finger or 2 in wheel gap without affecting the spring travel at all.

Racing cars don't have the same suspensions as us. You may want to read Andrew's post on spring rates.
