im confused

so i got new rims, they are rota g-force 18x9 +27 and after installing them i noticed that the passenger side rim/tire stick out more than the drivers side. so i took it to get aligned and the guy said that its normal and i just didnt notice it because the rims before sunk into the fender wells, but this doesnt seem right to me and its bugging me. anybody have any idea what would cause this, rims all the same size and all matching tires

It certainly could be a no. of things

Has the EVO ever had any front end damage?
Maybe the ROTA offsets are incorrect from one wheel to the other?
Do your other wheels have the same diff side to side?
Maybe your alum front fender is slightly more pushed in on one side?
How much of diff is there?

The car has never been in an accident and they stick out about and inch more than the other side, I got them from a friend of mine and they didn't seem to stick out on his car

Ruling aside accidents, a wheel spacer stuck on, or fenders widened I'd say you have wheels with different offsets/tire widths.

I'm guessing this too. Maybe your buddy had the two you have on the drivers side both on the rear so it looked okay? That way they would "stick out" the same amount on each side but more in the rear than in the front.

alright well i went to get the alignment done and it looked the same afterwards so when i got home i swapped the tires around and its the same no matter what wheel on put on that side, its almost 1/2 inch difference between the sides, so im guessing when the previous owner rolled the fenders one either got pushed in a little bit or pulled out but nothing i can really do lol thanks for your input guys
