Don't do that. If you hit hard enough to brake the sub frame, it usually messes up the unibody.

First off how did this turn into a weight saving thread smh

Anyway you don't have to drop the subframe to switch out he rear diff bushings. I would just get the Torque solutions MBE kit with the solid diff inserts and call it a day. I just installed mine and the noise isn't as bad as everyone says and it's def gets rid of the clunking and any other bad characteristics affiliated with the stock bar. Yes it saves weight too

I don't think anyone said anything about dropping the subframe to swap diff bushings, just the mustache bar.
I'd definitely like an mbe kit.

I reread the post you made it said drop the subframe to put bushings in the Mustache bar not the diff brackets that's what was confusing as the thread is focusing on the MBE(Mustache bar eliminator) kit. Yeah Torque Solutions kit is cheap and def does the trick.

I think someone asked about how hard they were to swap, or something. I can't find it. LOL.

I think an MBE kit is on my short list. I'm trying to shave weight.

People actually eliminate the mustache bar? It sounds like your asking for more problems then its worth saving weight.

the MB does a great job of dampening vibration and noise, but it seems a bit over engineered. i say "seems" because i'm no engineer LOL.
i don't mind the down sides since i don't daily the car.
