Rota Grid question

Rota Grid question
Hey everyone,
just a quick question about fitment. I'm looking at a set of rota grid's in 18x9.5 20mm offset. Can i run these on a stock strut w/ swift spring without rolling the fenders? any brake clearance issues? I know i could search, but forums are like a dying art so might as well try to get some convo going. thanks in advance

Not quite sure on the caliper fit, but ROTA's have traditionally been very caliper friendly, especially in a +20 offset. (more than likely it would fit w/a spacer)
The biggest concern is the 9.5" coupled w/the +20. Certainly dont recommend it as it would take all the rear fender tricks to make it close to working. Fender rolling would be the very least of the mods required

Dont knock the ROTA's haha. I have a set i run on the street (P45R's 17x9.5 +30 running some 275/40's)
Its the +20 that makes that wheel tough & the 9.5" width. If youre looking for the least amount of rear fender work,
look at some like this:

look at some like this:
- 18 x 9 +32 to +35
- 18 x 9.5 +35 to +38

haha. yeah. i used to run a set of sub zero's on my 05 sti back in 2005. they were great for what they were. So would i be right in assuming that i'd lose most of the concavity going with a +35? So for evo 8/9, if i wanted to not touch the fenders, keep the offset above +30? did you have any issues with your 17x9's?

I say to keep the tire off of the rear fender, a +35 or higher is needed. You really need to have the rear fenders treated if you want to run the wide wheels & tires. My 17 x 9's have 275's strapped to them so for sure my rears have had all the fender work required

Bottom line is, you really need to think about getting the rears rolled!

That is an excellent choice in wheel size. The 255/40's will look very meaty on them. As far as clearance its going to be very close to needing a rear roll. If you run some aggressive rear camber (approx -1.8 degrees) that may get them to fit.
