MR Bilstein differences from OEM GSR Evo struts

Does anyone know the differences from OEM 2005-2006 GSR Evo struts to the MR Bilstein version? Stiffer rebound, stiffer compression or both? Assuming no other mods, are the MR Bilstein's preferred for autocross or track? I have a set but never put them on.
PS - no, do not plan to upgrade springs also, just maybe a bigger rear sway over OEM.

At that OEM level, my good bet is that the difference is likely so imperceivable that one would be hard pressed to feel the diff. But the Bilsteins were the better setup at that OEM time!

I see you noted you dont plan on changing springs. After that many years on the chassis, why dont you consider a real move & install a set of GTWorx or Swift springs? W/those you will certainly feel the performance difference. Depending on the miles on the struts, those should be considered to be replaced as well!

Thank you, that helps. I have 96,0000 miles and a set of Bilsteins with about 20,000 miles someone gave me but I never put them on. Probably would be an improvement! Its a daily driver in completely stock form now, and I auto cross and do an HPDE once in a while. I constantly hear get at least a set of Swift sport springs and a better rear bar.

Those 20K Bilsteins will certainly be an improvement over those 96K struts. Put them on! Later you can consider the lowering performance springs

Where can I get a set of GTWorx springs for an Evo? The website goes to RCE and they only have Subaru springs.

Thats a good question. Havent search GTWorx in quite a while. I check MAP & they dont list them. Im a Swift spring guy anyhow & would use their springs over the GTWorx. I run Swifts on my FA 510's. They are for sure a premium spring & made to a very high level

Performance wise, you probably won’t notice much of a difference other than newer performing better than older struts. The Bilsteins do ride a whole lot better and eat up a lot more of the road imperfections.

I would vote for some Swift Spec-Rs with your Bilsteins vs any Coilovers under $2K
