Is the control arm really bent? If it is just replace it.... But it sounds like they dont' know poop about your car. I had the same problem. the only 2 places that know how to do the alignments are more than 40 miles away, plus they are also expensive. Since I can't find a local shop to align the car, I do it in my garage.

good luck!

Did you hit something hard?

Lower control arm could be bent. Remember left and right caster ( cross caster ) should be close to each other. maybe a .5 - .75 or watever specs may be.

Try a well known Body shop. They should have a machine that could pull your caster problem , assuming nothing is bent.

More then likely my lower control arm, in fact the arm hit the street, broke right through my plastic, you can see right where it impacted as it punctured the plastic.

Again it is very minor, I need a minor adjustment.

Like I said earlier consult a Body shop if they can pull your L/F suspension forward about 1/4 - 1/2 inch.
Or get your control arm replaced.

then get it re-aligned.

There is no way you can fix that without the right equipment. Even if it is minor
There is NO caster adj. on the EVO.

I use a carpenter square, metric tape measure and a little trig (ok a calculator ) for the camber, the toe is done using the string technique.

The fancy tools just make it (a lot) easier...

Old post, I wonder if he ever got his caster fixed before his 50 IDs got disabled on this site.
I have the same problem as he had. My right caster is slightly off and car pulls slightly to the left.
I guess aftermarket coilovers can't fix the issue and body shop is the only solution.

One company makes camber plates that can be used without coil overs (can't remember who). If you install these on the opposite sides of where they were intended, you now have an adjustment that runs 45 degrees from the centerline of the car (at an angle, side to side and front to back). It will now adjust camber and catser @ the same time. Once you have caster fixed to your liking, you can final adjust camber with the camber bolt on strut.

you can fix this problem with camber plates. Ground control makes some that have caster adjustment.

You can also do it with tein/works/jic/cusco plates by swaping left to right and rotating them to do a combined caster and camber adjustment.

http://www.groundcontrol.com

When you contact ground control, be sure to tell them what kind of coilover you are running (or stock strut) so they can provide you with the correct parts for proper fitment.

It sounds like you don't have a problem. All cars have the caster off a little bit to accomidate the crown in the road. If you had equal caster on both sides, then you would be drifting to the right as the car follows the crown in the road...

Just get a proper alignment. A lot of guys have no idea how to align the Evo yet will take your money and give you ****. I had a similar issue as UMIAMI80 and got it fixed at EuroTire in North Jersey with a corner Balance. I also hear there is a nice shop in Central Jersey called Body Motion. Your caster is fine, camber is also VERY adjustable in stock forum.
