Ohlins coilovers

It seems Ohlins makes three different versions for the Evo

PCV
Flag-S
Flag-L

Anyone have information on the differences, performance, features, and price?

I have the ohlins Road & track on my EVO with custom spring rates. I got them through another member ogvw. he can hook you up with a set for a great price.

I don't know how to answer your questions, but ogvw can help answer your questions about ohlins on your EVO.

I believe those are Japanese models (at least the PCVs) not supported here by Ohlins USA/Sweden.
We (U.S.) have 2 basic models available to us. The Road & Track setup and the Group-N in Gravel and Tarmac versions.

We have been working hard for many many months with Ohlins to come up with the WORKS/Ohlins Stage I (w/WORKS camber plates which is completed) and the WORKS/Ohlins Stage II (camber plates & custom springs) which has been on one of our EVOs for over a month now and still undergoing some final testing. Here is a sneak preview:

Damn, I thought Ohlins made just motorcycle suspension stuff. Their products are A+ quality.

That is correct - the kit we sell (MIS kit - aka Road & Track) is actually made in Japan as well, not Sweden. The GroupN kits are made in Sweden but are much more expensive (about $6400 per set) so it is out of the realm of most of our wallets

As far as "custom springs" goes - it is not TOP SECRET info with us. I have setup over 20 Evo's with the Ohlins MIS kits - and I have had no less than 12 different spring combos on my personal car, so I can help you pick the setup that works best on your car- for your driving needs.

Typically I like to use 350 front / 450 rear for a street car that sees a bit of track duty 400/500 for more hardcore guys and 300/400 for wussies like me that pound the smooth San Francisco streets

What Teins are you comparing vs what Ohlins?

My wife is running Ohlins in her WRX and they are quite stout, but overkill for what she uses the car for.
