Ivey Tuned Evo X GSR
Well this thread got a little interesting...I'd like to think there is some valuable info in here though. I see valid points from both sides of the argument.
Baseline numbers or not, I can rest assured that Sean tuned this car to run near perfectly. It feels great, it's much faster, and the curves on the dyno chart are as smooth as can be, with zero smoothing.
I am very happy with the results, and I couldn't imagine a better, more reliable tune.

Same here. Sean tuned my car on Thurs and it runs great. My idle is great now, doesn't fluctuate up and down constantly, like before, and feels smooth throughout the entire powerband. He richened her up a bit too because it was running dangerously lean on my Perrin OTS map. My top-end increased as well... the car doesn't feel like it hits the brick wall after 65ish. I say Ivey tune is worth every penny!
My idle is great too. I was a little surprised by the amount of black smoke still coming out of the exhaust at WOT after the tune, but I can rest assured knowing my tune is very safe and the A/F is real smooth. My biggest concern with getting a tune was something going wrong with the car afterward, but now I really have no reason to worry.
Sean Tuned my Evo X MR. As far as the smoke in the video goes I think it looks that way from where the video was taken. Meaning when the smoke goes from inside the building to where you are standing outside (and the sun hits it) it looks lighter, but I think it is still fuel NOT oil smoke. Just my 2 cents. In any case Sean was very professional and did a hell of a job. Hey Sean don't worry about the haters just keep doing what you're doing....
Every tuned evo heaves a gust smoke at wot. Sean did you bang that guys girl friend, lol, what a doushebag. Some guy on this forum blew a X motor with just a after market intake, this guy had a grab bag of stuff. It must suck responding to a loser like that, then if you say nothing you look wrong.

Brown nosing wont get you a free tune. The guy has a valid point. Almost all the threads here posts a baseline, its not a big deal if you dont, 340 is a great number for basic bolt ons. But Evos on dynojets can range from 220-250 baseline so from 220 thats a gain of 120Hp and from 250 its a gain of 90HP not a huge deal but one is great gains the other is just OK with these mods.
Like I stated earlier, I can see valid points on both sides of this argument. Bottom line, if Sean runs a baseline on my car and the motor blows (however low the odds of this might be), then everyone says "that's why you don't go WOT on an untuned, modded car." So Sean makes the decision to not run a baseline, and he gets a bunch of **** that he should have baselined it.
When all is said and done, I respect Sean's decision, being that he is one of the best in the world at what he does. I trust that the decisions he made when tuning my car were in the best interest of its long-term performance and reliability, which is the reason I went to Ivey in the first place.
