Are these numbers normal for my mods?

I feel like these numbers are huge compared to what I have seen so far.

I have UR Turbo back w/ 02 housing, Harman Motive Intake, Forge Unos MBC.
Came in with Z-chip installed (first graph) then tried with chip removed (lost 4 torque. only). Second graph is after final tuning. Dyno Jet used.
His boost meters 1.5 psi high, that is the reason it reads so high. my gauge never read more than 24.5 psi boost.

Keep in mind these numbers are from a 95* day at 5,500 ft altitude at 91 Octane.

They do seem high. All numbers I see on dyno jets seem hi.

wow those numbers are quite high, seems a bit inflated vs. the norm around here...

best way is to take it to a 1/4 track and see what you trap

There now many EVO Xs pushing over 350WHP here...

So why does 365WHP sound high to you? How does the car feel?

Also my question of the day What gear did you dyno your car?

thanks,

Would you happen to know the correction factor?

We use 1.15 on ours and Blitz USA's stock GSR baselined @ 229WHP
Another GSR w/full bolt ons, cosworth cams put down 313WHP (24psi peak)
Same GSR after a 3582R @18psi put down 352WHP and thats when people started to say they did 350+WHP on stock turbos.. I just dont see it happening with that small turbo.. not at least on a dynodynamics.. Disneyjet is different story

There are some STi tuners that are dynoing at 3rd gear instead of 5th, and putting down 700WHP on a 35R even Garrett tells them turbo flows 650crank on a 4cyl...

Wake up everybody

Hey Cenk,

That was me that made that comment on your YouTube video. We also exchanged a few messages on there too if you remember.

You can get 350whp (non-DisneyJet) on a stock turbo IF you run higher octane fuel e.g. E85 or a H2O/Meth setup. GSTMotorsports has an E85 stock turbo thread in this forum with some MD numbers. And ArchieBabes comes to mind as an example of stock-turbo Meth (spiking ~30psi I believe) setup that's putting down 350whp+ without the help of a fictitious dyno.

And yes those number are WAY high, no doubt. I'd say those are high even for CRANK hp numbers considering 95* + 5500ft + 91 octane combo.

Here are cars pushing similar numbers; take note of the mods required to get them there:

Hi Ed,

I dont see hi octane need for the stock EVO X turbo, 24psi is safe for 91 octane. And the turbo doesnt really make any more power over 24psi. This is what we tested end of last year. Base lined that GSR at 318WHP @ 30 psi peak (thanks to the ex tuner!!!), and ran it with 24psi & got 313WHP I would REALLY like to see the compressor map for the X turbo..

Now I never liked or tried E85, it makes more power at same boost even compared to C16. But its too destructive imo. I'd rather run race gas, make a bit less power, but race longer

Tom (EVO guru/tuning maniac) in san diego, running a fairly new gold turbo (from AU), made 402WHP (E85) on my dyno and proved quite a lot. However, he even admitted 30psi was too much after some discussion.. lowered boost to 27-28 and made 390ish.

And the final example is Reese tuning (buschur san diego).. Trying to go after big numbers, blowing some headgaskets, finally lowered his boost to 24psi for 140F track temps and he is happy. But came down to my shop to show me the real deal, ran 41psi on a 35R HTA, put down 589 even his vacuum lines were super hot after the run Will overheat @ buttonwillow over 24 No arguement accepted, he will tell you the same.

And the funny thing is people are saying he made low HP

Are those corrected numbers? If so, then they are probably about 8% high or so. The telling number is the uncorrected.

^ what he said, 1.0CF dd dyno here, making over 350whp on stock turbo. E-85 of course, still haven't even finished my turboback or gotten an IC yet, I expect more when those come.

No idea on the correction factor. I am almost certain it was 4th gear. Strange thing is for some reason I suddenly boost higher, since last week, hit warning on the prosport gauge in third now. wonder if mechanics played with mbc during oilchange???

Time to log her today

If you call the shop and have them bring your dyno run back on the screen, they can tell you the CF, which will tell us quite a lot..

that one thing scary about MBCs... good luck.
